Universal Design For Learning (UDL)

Every learner is different. We build multiple paths into each concept — visual, verbal, and hands-on — so more students can access rigor without it being diluted.

KQ (开橇) Pedagogy

Our signature method, drawn from a Chinese teaching tradition meaning “to open a channel of understanding.” We pinpoint the exact idea that unlocks a problem and reveal it at the moment a student is ready — turning confusion into the click of genuine comprehension.

Ongoing Education Research

Guided by this research, we are developing AI tools that bring one-on-one responsiveness to every learner — so personalized, equitable math education isn't a privilege for a few, but a standard for all.

Our Mission

3EF is a research-based education organization. We are pursuing a single question: how can every child — regardless of background or learning profile — experience the kind of personalized, insight-driven math education that builds lifelong thinkers? We pursue it through original research, partnerships, and the responsible development of learning AI, always in service of human judgment rather than as a replacement for it.

Our approach is grounded in active research, including pre-proposals submitted to the Spencer Foundation and the National Science Foundation.
